We played our third friendly game of the summer at the Haladas sport complex on Saturday. The game was played behind closed doors against Slovenian side NS Mura. The Slovenian club had lifted the domestic cup about a month ago and also finished the season in fourth place from the ten club league championship. Vdi went into the game on the back of a 2-2 friendly draw against Slovan Bratislava.

Vidi manager Gabor Marton started with the following eleven: Rockov – Fiola, Vágó, Stopira, Hangya – Nikolov, Houri – Funsho, Kovács, Petryak – Nikolic.

The first real chance of the game arrived after 6 minutes and it was Funsho who cleared the danger away in front of his own goal. Moments later and Nikolic closed down the Slovenian keeper, and the ball hit the Vidi captain, but did not end up in the back of the net, following the ball rebounding off a Mura defender. Susnjara headed at goal for our opponents after 10 minutes following a cross from the right. His header went over the bar. Rockov had to pull off a great save 2 minutes later from a close range Marosa header. However, the forward was ruled offside. Nikolov had a chance minutes later: his powerful shot was collected by Obradovic. Houri brought Petryak into play after 18 minutes but his shot was blocked by a defender. Five minutes later and Rockov was again called upon. Our keeper confidently brought down a ball following a high ball in.

Kovacs ran at goal on 29 minutes and the move ended with a dubious challenge from the opponents keeper. The referee did not point to the penalty spot. Petryak continued to put pressure on the Slovenians with his shot from long range but Obradovic was again alert to the danger. Rockov continued to be impressive in the minutes that followed. He dived to the bottom left to stop a long range shot from Bobicanec. Then Houri saw his shot come off a defender after 36 minutes and trick the Slovenian keeper, but the ball went just wide. Evandro came on for his Vidi debut after 37 minutes and his first effort went wide from 19 meters. The two sides went in at the break with the score at 0-0.

Bolla replaced Fiola at half time and the first key moment of the second half saw Vago do well to deny a quick counter attacking move from Mura. Vidi went ahead after 60 minutes when a Houri corner was met at the far post by the head of Stopira who did well to show good movement and direct the header into the back of the net from 8 meters (1-0).

The reply from the Slovenians came quickly following a shot from 21 meters by Susnjara that landed in the bottom right corner (1-1).

A defender was well placed to block a close range shot from Nikolov 3 minutes later. Evandro then shot over from 10 meters as the action continued. Bobicanec curled a ball over the Vidi goal on 68 minutes. Zivzivadze shook off a defender after 71 minutes but his shot went the wrong side of the post. There were several changes for the final 20 minutes with Rockov - Bolla, Musliu, Rus, Zeke - Nyári, Pátkai - Nego, Hodzic, Géresi – Zivzivadze ending the match for Vidi.

Patkai won a free kick on 86 minutes. Hodzic had his shot bounce off a defender before the ball landed in the keepers hands. Zivzivadze won a ball in the closing moments before nicely laying it off to the right, which Hodzic tried to acrobatically connect with but he could not make contact and the game ended 1-1.

Our next match against NK Nafta Lendava on Tuesday in Lendava will also be behind closed doors.
