Our team trained at the Zimbru Stadium in Kishinev on Wednesday evening

FC Petrocub Hincesti will host us on Thursday in the capital's stadium, also used by the Moldovan national team.

As reported, our team left for Moldavia on Wednesday morning, arriving there at around 13:00 local time. The Moldavian team held a press conference at 17:30 at the Zimbru Stadium, followed by a training session from 18:00.

Head coach Alexei Savinov revealed that he expects another tough encounter this time, as the first game showed that Vidi is a high quality team and that they have a squad of top players. He added that the five-goal deficit is almost insurmountable at this level, but he is confident that they will leave the pitch victorious in front of their own crowd on Thursday evening.

Ten-time Moldovan international full-back Ioan-Calin Revenco, who was in the starting line-up of FC Petrocub Hîncești in the Székesfehérvár match, said that they played a difficult match at the MOL Arena Sósto a week ago, which was a very bad result for them. He believes that the question of progression is already decided, but they do not want to disappoint their enthusiastic fans and will do their best to beat Vidi in the return leg on Thursday evening, but to do so they will need everyone to give their best on the pitch.

Speaking before Vidi's training session, Michael Boris said he was confident that the home side would try and, like Gabala two weeks ago, they would put pressure on us. Our team will be looking to attack and score goals and win the second game. Our head coach has made no secret of the fact that Emil Rockov will start in the rematch against Petrocub, but other changes from the last starting eleven are also possible.

Claudiu Bumba, who has played against Moldova here several times before, said that even with a comfortable lead, they are preparing for Thursday's return leg in earnest and are looking to progress to the ECL play-offs with a double win. He added that it's a difficult period for them at the moment, with two tough games a week, but the mood is good within the team, with two important big wins last week and they want to continue that good run this week.

The coaching staff, led by Michael Boris, held a training session for the players at the national stadium in Moldova from 20:00 on Wednesday evening.
