Ujpest away on Friday evening

Another three league points are on offer when Vidi make the visit to the capital.

On Friday 22nd October at 20:00 we will play against the NB I bottom side Újpest FC at the Szusza Ferenc Stadium.

The Budapest club have lost five of their nine league games so far - three times 2-1 and twice 3-1. They have also drawn four times, most recently away at leaders Kisvárda, where Michael Oenning's side were able to play with a man advantage for 60 minutes.

The last time Újpest had a worse start to the season was 33 years ago, in 1988, after nine rounds, Újpest had three draws and six defeats. At the end of the season, Újpest finished in midtable.

In the summer transfer window, nine players left Újpest and five arrived. Among them, Mory Koné, who we all know from Ararat Yerevan in the summer, transferred to Újpest at the end of September. The Ivory Coast striker, who was Armenia's player of the year, top goalscorer and cup winner, has so far appeared in two matches in the NB I without scoring a goal. In addition to him, Újpest have also signed Malian, Brazilian, North Macedonian and German players - the latter, Luca Mack, has also played for German U20 international and VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.
