Europa League Q1 to begin on 27th August

UEFA announced on Wednesday details of the qualifying rounds of the Europa League for next season.

A number of series was decided by the UEFA Executive Committee on 17th June, of which our club is most affected by the new rules of the Europa League.

"In order to properly separate the final leg of the 2019-2020 series from next season’s matches, the qualifiers for the Champions League and Europa League 2020-2021 season will not be played in a two-legged system, but will be decided by one match to advance to the next round. An exception to this is the Champions League play-offs, which will continue to be decided over two matches. The qualifiers will decide which team can play in their own stadium in the duel" - MLSZ website.

Our team will start the Europa League in the first qualifying round of next season on 27th August.

The match dates for the 2020-2021 Europa League are as follows:

Qualifying Round: August 20
First qualifying round: August 27
Second qualifying round: September 17
Third Qualifying Round: September 24
Play-off: October 1
Group matches: October 22 and 29, November 5 and 26, December 3 and 10.

Budapest will host the Super Cup

On Wednesday, the UEFA Executive Committee also decided that the match of the winners of the two most prestigious European club series, the Champions League and the Europa League, will see the European Super Cup Final, being held on September 24 in Budapest, at the Puskás Arena.
